Covid Safety Guidelines

 

At Under the Umbrella (UTU) we are committed to offering a welcoming and nurturing space, especially as the Covid pandemic continues to challenge us. To this end, here are the protocols UTU uses daily and weekly to ensure your experience at the clinic will be a good one, grounded in health and safety.

 

Both Julie and Laura (UTU Founders) are fully vaccinated and have been since early January, 2021. Julie and Laura are also tested weekly to ensure negative covid exposure. Here are other important protocols followed by UTU:

• UTU follows CDC and WA State Department of Health guidelines for mask use in the space and in our lives outside the space

• UTU keeps windows and doors open at all times in the clinic when clients and families are present to ensure maximum air flow and adequate exchange of air

• Everyone washes hands frequently at UTU 

• UTU space is cleaned deeply and regularly

• UTU keeps up on current research about the pandemic and the recommendations for families in therapy and update each other as we learn more and more about the epidemiology of the disease and the responses to it that make the most sense
